Save Money: Reface Your Working Appliances Instead of Buying New Ones

We've all heard of refacing cabinets, but did you know you can reface appliances, too? If you are looking into doing a kitchen remodel, refacing your appliances can be a great alternative to buying new ones. A simple refacing can save you hundreds of dollars and allow you to continue using the appliances that only need a cosmetic makeover but are otherwise working fine.

New kitchen appliances can cost you thousands of dollars during a remodeling project. If the appliances that you have still work, there is no point in getting rid of them. Sure you want the newest look and the most modern design, but you can reface most of your working appliances at a fraction of the cost of buying brand new ones.

The easiest was to reface appliances is by contacting the original manufacturer. They will be able to provide you with a listing of face panels that will fit existing appliances, and face panels that will require customization. Another advantage of contacting the original manufacturer is that they are familiar with the newest design trends and can give you valuable tips.

There are also companies that offer custom order face panel kits. This is similar to ordering from the manufacturer, but with this option you can order exactly what you want. You can pick the color, the wood type, or any other option that may be available. The manufacturers usually do not offer this option as they are selling face panels from their existing models. If you are looking for a unique, one of a kind look, contact a custom order company. They can come out to your home and show you samples, and also give you a cost estimate that will be far less than replacing the whole appliance.

Another big advantage to refacing instead of buying new is delivery and installation charges. Most people can reface their appliances on their own, which saves time and money. You also get the satisfaction of knowing that you completed the project yourself.
